Precision Sharpening Devices, Inc. is pleased to announce that inventor Mark S. Mills has been granted Patent No. US8,616,938B1 on hand-held blade sharpeners. On December 31, 2013 The United States Patent and Trademark Office issued the patent. Mark Mills also owns the trademark "Bevel Buddy™."
The present invention is directed to the field of harvesting. More particularly, the present invention is directed to a hand-held blade sharpener which permits in place sharpening of blades on wood chippers, forage harvesters, and the like.
The hand-held power tool is light, portable and easy to use which can sharpen without removing the blades, saving significant time, restoring the cutting machine to operating condition quickly and economically. The hand-held sharpener is utilized to back grind the blade so as not to reduce the feed angle on those machines, such as chippers, for example, which rely on the blades to feed the product through the machine.
This product has been in the design and production phase since 2007. It has been being successfully utilized in the field for the past two years.
